ADHS was designed to support adrenal function and contains a brilliant mixture of vitamins, minerals and herbs. In testing before and after use of ADHS in salivary adrenal stress index showed markedly lowered cortisol and normalized DHEA production. ADHS does an excellent job of correcting excess cortisol production and can normalize high insulin production in patients with type-2 diabetes tendencies. Dr. Wang recommends ADHS as part of her core regimen to recovering and normalizing adrenal imbalance. The other main part of her adrenal protocol includes Thorne's B-complex #5.

Adrenal imbalance is often found in people with low thyroid function due to problems with the T4 to T3 conversion. Consider taking MedaStim with ADHS to help with thyroid hormone conversion.

ADHS should not be taken after 3pm and is best taken with breakfast and lunch. Generally ADHS need not be taken for more than 3-4 months and is maintained until the adrenals recover their reserves and are able to function more normally. If you have accompanying sleep problems, particularly staying asleep, consider the use of Seriphos which can normalize spikes in cortisol production at night to maintain solid sleep throughout the night.

Recommended dose is 4 tablets twice daily with food. Specific recommendations for your particular case should be determined after an Adrenal Stress Index or ASI test is taken.
